International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference Las Vegas 2019 | TRAVEL

IECSC

Last month, I attended the International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference (or IECSC) in Las Vegas.
IECSC is considered one of the premier Spa and Makeup events offered for Licensed Estheticians, Makeup Artists, Spa Professionals, Skincare Specialists, and Plastic Surgeons.

If you didn't know, I'm a Licensed Esthetician & Certified Medical Assistant (when I'm not blogging). I was only able to attend on Saturday so I took advantage of EVERYTHING that was being offered. I like to stay on top of the newest techniques and information out there. You can never know too much! ;)

With 128+ FREE classes, and access to 600+ Exhibitors, IECSC Las Vegas is the leading tradeshow to learn more about the latest trends in the industry. This year, from what I noticed, IECSC gave attendees the latest information on CBD usage and products.

I was introduced to the latest in facial treatments, skincare, retail products, cosmetics, equipment and furniture, nutrition and health products, microdermabrasion equipment, permanent makeup, massage products, aromatherapy, spa clothing, electrolysis and hair removal, laser equipment, spa d├ęcor, medical spa equipment, and so much more.

Attendees can also take advantage of paid conference offerings which included Advanced Education Workshops, Medical Spa Education, an Advanced Business Seminar, CIDESCO USA Workshops, a Medical Spa Procedural Workshop and Spa Tours.

What I Disliked:
- Booths selling devices which promises the removal of your skin condition(s). I may be legal in other states, but this is NOT under my scope of practice in California. AND as someone who works in a Dermatologist office, these skin conditions should be removed by a Physician ONLY.
- CBD Products EVERYWHERE. Yes, I know it is legal, but a few booths were selling marijuana / handing out edibles samples was unacceptable IMO.
- Since I was wearing a 'Press' badge, most booths ignored me unless I told them I was a Licensed processional.

What I Liked:
- Being able to talk and network with Brand Reps to learn more about products and devices.
Thank you Hydrafacial, NuFace, Zerona, Vitajuwel, Revitalash

Amethyst Facial Roller

The Amethyst crystal carries a negative charge- toxins, free radicals and other hazardous waste carry a positive charge. This is important in removal of toxins and free radicals. The negative ions draw out the positively charged particles to detoxify and cleanse your skin - giving your skin a clean, refreshed feel.

Water is the elixir of life! The gemstone blend is designed to attract clarity, purity and fluidity like a natural mountain spring on a crisp clear day. If your personal detox practices are important to you in these hectic times, the Forever Young blend offers an additional dimension of energetic cleansing. Aventurine has been used for regenerative and reviving purposes, aquamarine for cleansing and smoky quartz for stress relief.

In the natural healing arts, this combination of aventurine, aquamarine, and smoky quartz provides an invigorating cleanse of body and mind.

Classes I Attended:

Anti-Aging TCA and Jessner Certification presented by Dermaesthetics Beverly Hills

Enhance your skills with the Dermaesthetics Level II and III TCA and Jessner Peels. Learn how to properly apply advanced peels safely and effectively for all skin types and Fitzpatrick levels.

Hands on Training with the Leaders of Chemical Peels presented by PCA Skin
This is your opportunity to perform or receive a PCA SKIN Chemical Peel. This workshop will begin with an overview of how PCA SKIN peels are different, key benefits, contraindications and advanced application techniques. You will walk through the consultation process and end with performing and then experiencing a treatment.

Overall, IECSC Las Vegas was an amazing place to be, learn and grow. I had an opportunity to learn about so many new brands I never heard of. I’ve been testing out the products I purchased and even more excited to come back next year to explore more.
