Amazon: HALO Prime Day Sneak Peek!

Once upon a time, Black Friday was the only day we could get almost anything our hearts desired at dirt cheap prices, but not anymore. Amazon Prime Day, or Black Friday in July as many lovingly call it, allows you to get rock bottom savings on hundreds of items without waiting in massive lines on a full stomach.

As a first time Mom, I am always doing a TON of research on baby gear and still adding items onto my baby registry. One of the places I am registered at is Amazon, and today, I'm going to give you a sneak peek on an item Amazon will be offering on Prime Day.

HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper (Damask Fabric print only) . $199.99 (Reg: $249.99)

The HALO Bassinest® swivel sleeper is the only bassinet that rotates 360 degrees for the ultimate in convenience and safety. Now your little one can sleep as close as you like, while still safely in his own separate sleep area, reducing the risks associated with bed-sharing. In addition to bringing baby close, it swivels to make getting in and out of bed hassle-free. Its unique design means baby is visible at your eye level, allowing you to soothe your baby quickly, while mesh walls provide maximum breathability. In addition, its side wall lowers and returns automatically, allowing you to tend to your baby while still in bed, helping to make your recovery from childbirth a little easier.  Also includes a soothing nightlight, sounds, music, vibration and a back to bed reminder.

This deal will not be live until Prime Day which I hear/read may be somewhere around July 10 or so. Unfortunately, Everly is too big for the HALO Bassinest 😭 But if you know someone that is expecting this is the perfect baby shower gift! Otherwise, be sure to add this onto your Baby Registry!

What is Prime Day?
Back in 2015, Amazon celebrated its 20th anniversary with a full day of discounts -- not just on Amazon-branded products, but on tens of thousands of other items as well. It was wildly popular.

In the years since, Amazon has worked to make more products and inventory available (so items wouldn't sell out in minutes) and simplify the means of finding sale items. This year, the e-commerce giant will offer more than 100,000 deals, which will be posted as frequently as every five minutes throughout the sales period.

Who can shop on Prime Day?
Prime Day is for Amazon Prime subscribers only. If you're not a paid member, you can't take advantage of the deals.

As you may have heard, the company recently raised its annual Prime rate to $119.

What kinds of deals can I expect?
There's little question that Prime Day will bring deals on many, if not most, of Amazon's branded products: Fire TV devices, Fire tablets, Kindle e-readers and of course Echo.

Beyond that, look for a Black Friday-style assortment of deals in pretty much every category.

How can I shop on Prime Day if I'm not a Prime subscriber?
Unfortunately, you can't -- but you might be able to game the system a little bit.

If you've never subscribed before, you can get a free one-month Amazon Prime trial. Sign up NOW and you'll be able to shop Prime Day during the trial period.

Start Your Amazon Baby Registry
If you are expecting, make sure you start an Amazon Baby Registry. It will help you organize the items that you know you want to purchase. After you have added the items to your registry, you can check it on Prime Day to see if the prices have gone down on any of your items and purchase them. This is a great way to keep track if you will be purchasing for a new baby anyway in the coming months.

Amazon Baby Registry Benefits
If you are an Amazon Prime member, you will get a few extra benefits from your baby registry, such as:
