MOTHERHOOD: Happy 4 Months, Everly!

(I forgot to take her usually monthly picture! 😭 I kept telling myself I would do it but something would always come up! But here's a picture of her modeling for HALO Sleep :D)

The days are long but the years are short. And this couldn’t be truer when it comes to babies.

In the midst of that newborn haze it’s easy to get lost in a sea of dirty diapers, spit up and screams. The days can feel long, yet you find yourself questioning what you actually did with that day. Before you know it your tiny newborn is 4 months old. Their hands and feet have almost doubled in size. Their face is fuller. They’ve lost that wide eyed wrinkle-y newborn look. Where did the time go?

It's so crazy to think that a year ago I was just beginning the pregnancy journey and now I have a 4 month old. They are not kidding when they say a lot can change in a year!

It’s so crazy how much Everly has changed in just a month. The best thing since last month is the giggles. Everly now laughs and babbles and it is literally the best sound I have ever heard. She is smiling ALL THE TIME. Thankfully she is still sleeping through the night but everyone has talked about the 4 month sleep regression, so I am just anxiously awaiting for that to happen!

We have said goodbye to our beloved swaddles and hello to the Halo SleepSack Swaddle. She loves having her hands and feet in her mouth (beginning stages of teething). She knows how to do a half roll - especially while in the middle of changing her diaper. Everly loves to sit up in her boppy, relax in her bath, smiling and ‘chatting’. She is verryyyyyy chatty  - especially after her feedings.

We are starting to see her sweet personality and she is much more responsive which is always fun. Plus I mean the giggles. Oh my goodness gracious, that is just the best sound ever. We cannot wait to share all of the changes from month 4-5. Time, please slow down!
