One of the best cereal products I have tried to date is the Naked Nutrition Apple Cinnamon Protein Cereal. The cereal contains only five ingredients: grass-fed whey, tapioca starch, organic brown sugar, organic apple pieces, and cinnamon. There are no additives, growth hormones, GMO, soy or gluten in them. Each sachet lets the consumer know exactly the number of calories, grams of protein, carbohydrates, fat, and sugar that are being consumed.

Grass-fed whey comes from cows that feed on natural grass. It contains vitamins A and E that play a role in muscle development and contributes to the skin collagen giving one a healthy look. Proteins from grass-fed whey are also rich in omega three fatty acids which are known for being anti-inflammatory and has lead to reduced risk of contracting chronic diseases such as dementia and heart disease. Products from other companies originates from tainted milk from cows that feed on genetically modified food (GMO) products. As a result, the cows would produce milk that contains elements of chemicals which could be disastrous for human consumption.

Rarely do you try something and it's exactly what you pictured it would be. Naked Nutrition Apple Cinnamon Cereal is one of those things: Sweet, cinnamon, crunchy. I like these as a grab and go dry breakfast, or with a little almond milk. As a dry breakfast, I found them easy to eat slowly since they are so crunchy, and filling.

When you're racing to get up and out the door every morning, the last thing you have time for is a leisurely gourmet breakfast. (If you can whip up a world-class meal in the A.M.., more power to you.) But for most of us, cereal is probably the most realistic option. It's not shocking that cereal often gets a bad rap for being packed with sugar, low in protein, and generally lacking nutritional value. The best breakfast meal should be rich in carbohydrates and high in fiber. Cereals like Naked Nutrition Apple Cinnamon Protein Cereal offer ample health benefits than those that use artificial sweeteners or flavors.

People who love peanut butter but can’t have the fat have a new friend: Naked Nutrition Powdered Peanut Butter. It’s peanut powder are made from slow-roasted, non-GMO peanuts that have been mechanically pressed to remove fat and oil, and ground into an aromatic and tasty powder. It’s far superior in taste than other PB substitutes; at 50 calories per 2 tablespoons and just 1.5g total fat, it saves calories and fat for those who can’t have one or both and want their peanut butter. By analogy, fat-free milk is better than no milk at all, and can be quite enjoyable once you get used to it.

If you still want a lightened-up rendition of your favorite peanut butter dish, powdered versions like Naked Nutrition Powdered Peanut Butter can be a crafty substitution. The peanut powder can mimic peanut butter flavor in your smoothies without getting clumpy in the blender blades. And peanut flour functions as a white flour substitute in many recipes, which, can transform your favorite cookies into gluten-free versions.

Zac and I made some delicious PB cookies! :) If you would like the recipe, please let me know and I'll be glad to share it with you.

Don't forget, if you’re giving up the creaminess of peanut butter, you want to be sure your powdered peanut butter packs the most flavor. It's not identical to traditional peanut butter off the shelf, but it's an excellent alternative. I can honestly stay that this stuff really does taste like peanut butter.  It's not as strong or thick as your regular crunchy or creamy peanut butter that you buy out of the jar, but it is very close. The texture and strength of the flavor can vary depending on your fluid-to-powder ratio, but you can definitely tell it is there and has a nice touch.

The sky’s the limit on what you can do with it.
