TIP TUESDAY: Target's Clearance Schedule!

Target has some awesome discounts BUT we can save much more with a little insight into the company’s pricing system.

If you didn't know already, Target's clearance items will have a red sticker. On the upper right-hand corner of a clearance tag is a number that shows a percentage of how much an item has been reduced in price; the lower left hand corner is the original price.

Target also has an unofficial markdown schedule for when it reduces item prices in certain categories.
- If the price ends in 8, it'll be marked down again!
- If the price ends in 4, it’s the lowest it will be.

Target’s Markdown Schedule:

MONDAY: Kids’ Clothing, Stationery (Office Supplies, Gift wrap) & Electronics.

TUESDAY: Women’s Clothing & Domestics.

WEDNESDAY: Men’s Clothing, Toys, Health & Beauty.

THURSDAY: Lingerie, Shoes & Housewares.
FRIDAY: Cosmetics, Jewelry, Hardware, Automotive & Home Improvement.

Clearance items are found at the end of the aisles, usually on the endcap facing a wall. When items are marked down for the first time, there is a good chance you will still find them in the aisle. Once they have several items on clearance, they will get moved to an endcap.
PLEASE NOTE: clearance prices will vary by store.
As for clearance items, they are marked down to as low as 90% off.  The holiday items will go to 50% off the day after the holiday; with the exception of bagged candy which will usually start out at only 30% off.
